O’Keefe’s Acorn Pimp Scam Determined to be a Hoax

O'Keefe the ACORN Pimp's mugshot

Recently arrested scam artist James O’Keefe has been caught doing what we all knew he did, fabricate lies about ACORN.

Racheal Maddow recently aired the unedited tapes, fresh off the heals of CA Attorney Gen. Jerry Brown’s investigation, which cleared ACORN employees of any wrong doing.

Not only did he not wear the now infamous pimp outfit, he was wearing a long sleeve button up shirt, ACORN employees asked questions of the phony pimp and immediately called the police. This is clearly displayed in the video. He also used editing tricks and what sounds to me like voice overs (I do sound engineering and work in a studio so this is an educated guess).

It makes sense. O’Keefe was caught recently trying to tap Sen. Mary Landrieu’s phone and plans to plead guilty, proving that he will stoop to deceit, lies and criminal actions to prove his little point. It also makes sense that a clean, Conservative looking white boy (you know how they often have this creepy, Pat Boonish, Anglo and phony look) would not be taken seriously when dressed like a super fly 70s pimp (although the mugshot does suit him and his ho looks o'keefe's ho prostitute hoaxpretty good as well, despite the fact she looks more like a confused teenager at a Bible reading on a California beach then a ho). It was so obvious that I’m shocked that Dems caved so quickly and the Wingnut Media took it seriously, not fearing that the whole thing was a hoax.

Which it was.

Here is the segment from the Rachael Maddow show. She goes through a comprehensive analysis of the scam and plays the one-side coverage that Fox dumped on it’s gullible audience.

This clearly demonstrates the subjective, irresponsible reporting that is going on over in Fox Wingnut land. Facts? Who needs ’em as long as they can openly push their thinly veiled political agenda, which is to make Rupert Murdoch rich, they will run with it.

The sad part is that O’Keefe was able to sink ACORN, an organization designed to mobilize the poor and disenfranchised to vote. It provided housing assistance and community services as well.

o'keefe the acorn pimp is a scam artist

This is why the Right-wing Connies wanted to get rid of ACORN. If the poor have a voice, they will vote for a progressive tax system, government programs for education and health care. Connies don’t want to pay for that. So they created a conspiracy theory that ACORN stole the election to scare their naive followers. Never underestimate the motivation of good old-fashioned greed.

ACORN was not an organization of saints. There were involved in many ethically questionable techniques, and some accusations of money going to the wrong places. Yet these instances are common in non-profits. Sean Hannity’s own charity, designed to give scholarships to children of vets, has been accused of having a 90%+ overhead and distributing small scholarships to very few people. They were recently downgraded from a four-star to a two-star rating by non-partisan Charity Navigator.

What this is about is the uber-rich elite trying to suppress a class revolt before it happens. These greedy bastards are willing to stoop to any level to cling to power, including racial politics, fraud and class division. They even unpacked the terms socialist, Marxist and desperately used fascist.

Isn’t it all starting to make sense? Our unity is our ultimate weapon and their ultimate fear.
