The Republican House may not be able to get anything done, and is on track to working less than the infamous Do-Nothing Congress, working as little as 97 days this year (must be nice!). Unfortunately for the American people, there is one thing they never have a problem with, giving themselves another raise! Wow that must be nice too!
You know it’s funny how Republicans rant about hand outs to the poor and how working families don’t deserve wellfare (many of these moms are working 40 hours a week), while under Republican leadership these nimrods can give themselves a $3,300 raise while working less than a third of the year! Can you believe we pay these guys $168,500 a year.
Sounds like hand-outs to the rich if you ask me!
Damn I sure would love to get paid to sit and say a bunch of useless crap and still only have to work a third of the year. Plus these guys get “The Franking Priveledge”, which gives them free mailing rights in the U.S. and a full staff of some 30 employees. They don’t even have to get their own coffee, or pay for their mail, or drive themselves around town.
To top it all off, these lazy do-nothings actually get to make laws! Imagine that! They get to determine what’s legal and illegal, as long as it doesn’t conflict with the Constitution. So of course everyone wants to be their friend. Free golf vacations, comped dinners, Tom Delay last year got to fly all over the world, and didn’t have to pay a dime.
Perhaps Republicans would have us think that this is good. At least he’s not charging his expensive Scotish golfing trip to the American People. Well I would have words for such people. The actions of this Congress not only cost us another $3,300 x 435 Congressman, it has cost us dearly in lost time that could have been spent fixing this broken nation, billions in corporate welfare, poor decision making on disasters like Katrina and Rita, billions of dollars in Iraq and 2,500+ American soldiers lives.
I only wish the American People could see what is so crystal clear! Send these bums home!
