Funny Dose – Jon Stewart on Hurricane Sandy

Today’s Funny Dose is brought to you by the good folks at The Daily Show, longtime Soapblox.com favorites. Jon Stewart is good and cutting through the crap. His recent response to Hurricane Sandy, which canceled 2 episodes this week, is no exception.

Jon’s tribute to Institutional Competence doesn’t seem to happen much these days.

As Fox News proved it was more concerned with the election than about the people hit by the storm. I mean seriously, Fox News programs are mostly filmed in Manhattan, which was hit hard by Sandy and they were  more worried whether Mitt Romney was going to get time with Governor Christie of New Jersey.

Oh but I bet they weren’t expecting Christie’s response!

Much to his credit, he praised Obama. Much to his discredit, he criticized Obama for failing to show any “leadership” and wouldn’t likely get it in 18 days (until the election at the time), calling Obama a guy fumbling around in the dark looking for the light switch. As Jon Stewart points out: “I guess he found the fucking light switch!”

Enjoy!:

About Joshua Johnson

For 8 years, Soapblox.com has functioned as the political blog for up and coming writer, Joshua Johnson. While he writes many different styles of writing ranging from science fiction to social commentary, his true love lies in politics and history. With a degree in History from CSUN, his love of history shines through in his perspective. Josh’s articles are focused heavily on telling the truth and cutting through the subjective and relative nature that is prevailing these days. Hailing from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, Josh has had a decidedly middle-class upbringing, which has translated into a deeply rooted love of the Progressive movement of the early 20th Century. A self-described “progressive” Josh’s political views are quite mixed though lean left of center.
