Sour Grapes

unbelievable display of right-wing hatred on Fox News of Al Gore for his movie

There’s a rising tide of bitterness these days reverberating out of the right. I guess that’s what happens when your movement has failed and has nothing to show for it.

First off,
the fair and balanced team at Fox News unleashed a flurry of bitterness over Al Gore’s recent Nobel Prize win, going as far to equate the awarding of the prize itself to other controversial winners such as Yassar Arrafat. Sean Hannity went even further, saying he’d give the Nobel Prize back, if it were awarded to him, later saying he’d then give it to U.S. soldiers. Lol

Hannity is a moron

Uhm, Mr. Hannity, I don’t think you’ll ever have to worry about what to do with a Nobel Prize, although, if the Nobel committee ever lost its mind and handed out a Nobel for pathetic yammering of regurgitated mental mush, which you may or may not win, but if you did win, then I can think of a few places where you can stick it.

Seriously, he said it. Check out what Jon Stewart did with this unbelievable tide of sour grapes.

Fox News is unfairly unbalanced and factually wrong and misleading

I first heard that whole line on the winners of the Nobel Prize being equated to terrorists on Left, Right and Center last Friday from resident Righty Tony Blankley, albeit far less sensationally, he still echoed the Right Wing Think Tank Talking Point and downgraded the esteem of what is perhaps, the greatest honor that can be bestowed upon a human being.

Can you believe these guys? Now the Nobel Prize committee is a Liberal activist, commie, pinko agency with a vastly Left-Wing agenda to conspire against our fearless leader El Presidente Bush just to make him look like a shmuck. Why just a few years ago, they were all for the small, but notable effort that pushed for Bush and Tony Blair to win the same prize, ironically for starting a war in Iraq.

Now it’s a cursed piece of garbage only rewarded to past terrorists. You know, like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teressa, and now… (cue the evil political music and bring out the voice over guy who does the political attack ads) Al Gore. That’s a pretty evil lot of people to be mentioned in the same sentence with. I’m sure Mr. Gore will hang this award with all the other tragic moments in his life like letting the presidency slip out of his hands and into that of a 50 year old insecure, mamas boy with big time daddy issues.

Al Gore is hated by Fox News

Next in line,
that whole lambasting of a 12 year old boy thing. Did you hear about this? After Bush vetoed the SCHIP health care plan for underprivileged children, Democrats demonstrated SCHIP’s effectiveness by having a 12 year old, Graeme Frost, give the rebuttal to Bush’s speech. Frost’s family was turned down from health insurance 3 times and had he not been on SCHIP, the brain injuries he and his sister suffered as a result of a car crash would not have been tended to properly. It’s a great story, one that Republicans attacked with a ferocious wave of hate and disgust. Rightie bloggers attacked the families income level, the father’s line of work, the boy himself was held up to criticism, they even had the nerve to attack the mother’s counter tops as being made of solid granite. Wild speculative claims were made, all of which turned out to be false.

Read the NY Times wrap up of the whole matter to get the last word on this.

Wow! I know the right has always had this very cruel selfish streak that runs through it, after all their whole political philosophy is built on keeping the people from having too much power, but this is a new low. I mean, honestly, when has attacking a 12 year old boy proven advantageous? What a bunch of meanies!

Bush and Mr. Burns, two cartoon villains together at last
As Jon Stewart has kidded, these guys are doing things only cartoon villains would do. First spending a trillion dollars to demonstrate their unquestionable power (war in Iraq), then turn around and deny $7 billion to pay for the health care of poor, sick children, claiming they did it FOR sick, poor children (because we all know how concerned kids living below the poverty line are concerned about big-government spending), then ice the whole thing off by kicking Tiny Tim’s crutch from beneath him and attack a 12 year old child claiming alls fair in politics. Brilliant isn’t it? Certainly demonstrates the level of reality these guys operate in. Tiny Tim was attacked by the Republicans

It’s to the point now where I see in mind a bunch of rich, fat white-guys who hate everything, every time I hear the word Republican.

Mr. Potter is the perfect Republican

However there is a far more evil streak to these guys that is very alarming. The recent Anne Coulter debacle demonstrates this. On CNBC show The Big Idea, Coulter let slip her ideal vision of America, one that is entirely Christian. When host Donny Deutsch asked if Jews like him should be converted in Coulter’s America, she responded “We just want Jews to be perfected.”

Anne Coulter is a raving lunatic who should be ignored

I don’t know what the hell she means by citing classical European white Supremacist rhetoric. We don’t need to know what Coulter’s answer to the Jewish Question is, and I don’t want to know. She’s increasingly becoming irrelevant and probably just amping up the rhetoric to get publicity.

Extreme Right wing nut jobs are scarry. If God Hates Fags, what does he think of these freaks.

What does disturb me, is that it plays to the base. This is what the Right Wing base eats for dessert. It’s stuff they would all like to say if they had the guts to say it. Since they’re so afraid of what the “Liberal Media” is going to do to them if they spoke their minds and let this country really know how they feel about African-Americans, Jews and homosexuals. Instead they give a little wink and a nod using coded phrases like “States Rights” in place of Jim Crow or “Marriage is a sacred institution” in place of banning homosexuality. See how that works?

The problem with the Right is that its extreme manifestation is fascism. It’s a monarchical system of government where the infallible leader looks out for our best interest. Sound familiar? They consolidate power by spewing hate directed at a minority. Meanwhile they allow the corporate class to run free like a bunch of 17th Century Aristocrats. Still sound familiar? It should.

Or should I say it shouldn’t!

Thankfully, all this nonsense is coming to an end. Their perfect storm of sour political motives has crumbled. All that remains are the hate-filled bitter words.

May they crumble into the earth as well, like the aged dinosaurs that spew such nonsense.

dead elephants, the dinosaur that is the republican party
