I posted this response to a well-known Republican poster named Howard Kurtz (apparently this guy gets printed on the Washington Post and was mentioned on CNN). He tried to come off as Libertarian and objective, although there were serious weaknesses in his argument. So I pounced on him like a well-prepared mountain lion. I know, I should not waste my time battling a narrow-minded fool; I just could not stand it any longer! These righties and their stupid talking points have gutted my gills for the last time. He tried to confuse the readers on the details; making a horrible situation that offends the CIA (they don’t like it when their agents identities are in print. They even asked for the investigation), and he took the talking points straight from the source (Bush, Rove, etc.) and tried to look for any weakness in the argument against the White House. Well let me tell you something, I found plenty of weakness in him. I have been told that I kept the argument on the big picture. You make the call!
It is really amazing that so many Republicans are in denial. They once championed the cause of perjury in regards to Bill Clinton’s sex life, now they say it is “no big deal”! They just keep beating the drumbeat of their minority causes; a mixed marriage of corporate welfare and religious fervor. That’s exactly why they loved Iraq. It was a chance to push missionary evangelical Christianity as well as big business expansion…a mixed and evil marriage of fascist morality and the lack of ethics.
The ultra-Right Christians like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell (as opposed to the vast majority of slightly left of moderate to right leaning Christians) have sold their souls to the business right wing, who believe in nothing more than greed. Need I remind you of Jesus’ famous statement of a rich man’s chance of getting into heaven? Well a snowball’s chance in hell is an understatement; a camel fitting through the eye of a needle is impossible. Far graver, in my opinion, for the devil with all his vast wealth, may be able to afford a refrigerator.
Enough of this nonsense! If 80% of Americans think of themselves Christian, as the polls in the major media claim, then 80% of Americans should not value the path of Capitalism. Ironically, it was the Catholic Church that once restricted business from selling items at prices we now call gouging. They regulated the sale of bread and essential items so everyone could afford them. Such is the price of Protestantism. A sad but truth in history.
Now it’s the government’s turn to regulate capitalism and ensure that the greedy bourgeois class never forgets the rest of the middle and lower classes. These modern CEOs seem to think they are solely responsible for their wealth. I suppose there is no gratitude for the millions of men and women that broke their necks for a miserable wage, while they jumped out of the plane with a golden parachute.
Well I tell you one thing, if I saw a man floating to the ground on a golden parachute, I’d shoot at his parachute, making sure he hits the ground so fast, they’d spill their martini.
Lets all take a shot at these CEOs. I demand the heads of all those that screwed the American people, like Enron, WorldCom and Halliburton. Let’s fire a patriot missile at these morons’ golden parachutes by ending the Republican reign of terror. For deep with in these lies is the answer to why the Republicans fight for tax-breaks the rich can only benefit from (meaning a serious loss of revenue) in the midst of an expensive and bloody war.
I for one have had enough of their expensive solutions. Here in California, their groundbreaking Prop 13 (which allowed home owners and vastly wealthy corporate property and large scale real-estate owners to pay less taxes for some self-guided reason) destroyed the education system (Arkansas has been ranked higher) and left the roads in horrible condition, forcing a raise of fees and other assorted taxes.
In the end, it was the rich that benefited the most.
I can sense in the wind that the current is shifting. The times they are a changin’!
