The Republican Party claims it has the moral high ground, and that the issues of the day will easily sway voters into their camp. Then why are they making fake websites that look like fundraisers for their opponents, except for one thing, they are designed to “defeat” their opponents instead of help them.
Seems pretty desperate if you ask me. Playing hardball is one thing, but Bush League grade tactics are just cowardly. Especially since Republicans these days, especially Tea Party folk, hate the very government that pays their salary, you are getting swindled twice because you just may end up with a lazy good for nothing Tea Party “taker” representing you in Congress. A person who will not only not do their job, they will be proud to do nothing because they fundamentally believe that the government should do anything anyway.
Republicans don’t mind cheating because the end always justifies the mean to conservatives. The religious faction doesn’t mind democracy but they do not believe in it. They are monarchists who believe that Jesus should be the one giving orders. No word on how they actually feel about his regents, who seem to pop up out of the woodwork to give orders in the name of Jesus.
The other half of Republicans don’t mind breaking rules because they believe that rich people should be allowed to do whatever they want. Their idea of “liberty” is to be able to take away your freedom. A philosophy that pre-dates the American Revolution and was widely used to defend slavery in the run up to the Civil War.
So breaking a few rules is like making an omelet, and we all know that you gotta break a few eggs to make democracy work the way it’s supposed to, which by rich Libertarians like the Koch Brother’s account is an environment where rich people can do whatever they want, because it isn’t there already right?! No, it’s not like one of the Koch Brothers built himself his own Wild West frontier town to be completely used for his own purposes or anything.
I mean seriously, how much more freedom to rich people actually need? In this country, we practically bend over backwards and offer up the goods to any dishonest millionaire to come down the pipeline.
That is why I see no reason to even contemplate, in my deepest, darkest nightmares, a vote for a Republican. They have less to offer than an angry 3 legged horse and cause far more damage too.
That is why Republicans will run on Obamacare this fall, an issue that hasn’t brought them anything so far, but they will do it again anyway because they don’t have a single issue to run on. Even with Obamacare, their solution is simply to get rid of it, their own pathetic plan is Obamacare without the things that make Obamacare work (such as the individual mandate) with a huge dose of “Tort Reform” which makes it harder to sue your doctor for malpractice if they accidentally remove the wrong kidney. Not even Republicans have taken these Obamacare replacements with any sincerity.
The conservative agenda is all pro-corporate and pro-billionaire while incredibly being anti-everyone else at the same time. Anyone who makes less than $300,000 a year has zero reason to vote for them and anyone making less than $1,000,000 a year has very few reasons to vote for them. The only stance they have on any issue is to cut taxes for rich people, while still spending billions on the corporate welfare and subsidies that they love so dearly.
So why can’t the Republicans be honest and run on their true platform of corporate welfare and big tax-breaks for rich people? Well I guess you know the answer to that.
