Welcome to Soapblox!

On this July 4th, 2005 I, Bryan J. Faragher officially declare Soapblox.com officially open! I pledge this website to uphold the highest standards in truth. If a mistake is ever made, I pledge to stand corrected. I pledge to write articles that I believe are in the best interest of the American people, and will not carry a partisan line of any sort, instead write only what I believe!

Before you and the other visitors to this site, I make this pledge.

It has been an interesting couple of months getting this site ready. Ebb and Flow (my associate and resident coder) has been breaking his back to get this website ready for action. We have gone through many changes and the site is officially walking on it’s own two legs. There is still much work to do, so please bare with us over the next few months, as we work to make this site an important resource tool for people who may or may not follow the political and social ongoings of this country.

Soapblox is intended to be that informed friend you turn to when your looking for an opinion. It is just that, a collection of opinions that are intended to be intelligent and researched. When elections or divisive issues have you puzzled, we here would like to think that you consider us for information.

With all the problems going on in this country this 4th of July, Soapblox opens up during a challenging time. We are facing economic, military, social, religious, political problems and even our whole American way of life is even coming under the microscope. I know I’m not the only one that feels we are all headed in the wrong direction, and for that reason, I want to tell anyone that feels that way, you are not alone!

Lastly, I would like to put out the call for talented and capable writers. I am looking to add 5 or so people who have strongly held convictions and opinions. I am not just looking for political writers, social commentary, comic and graphic artists, are welcome as well to make contributions. Periodic writings are also encouraged, so if you would like to contribute, feel free to contact me at anytime.

Sincerely,

Bryan J. Faragher

About Joshua Johnson

For 8 years, Soapblox.com has functioned as the political blog for up and coming writer, Joshua Johnson. While he writes many different styles of writing ranging from science fiction to social commentary, his true love lies in politics and history. With a degree in History from CSUN, his love of history shines through in his perspective. Josh’s articles are focused heavily on telling the truth and cutting through the subjective and relative nature that is prevailing these days. Hailing from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, Josh has had a decidedly middle-class upbringing, which has translated into a deeply rooted love of the Progressive movement of the early 20th Century. A self-described “progressive” Josh’s political views are quite mixed though lean left of center.
